APERTURA PROGRESIVA DE FRONTERAS / GRADUAL OPENING OF BORDERS

Se informa que en el dia 10 de agosto del corriente, el Senor Presidente Luis Lacalle Pou acompanado por el Ministro de Turismo, Sr. German Cardoso, el Ministro de Salud Pública, Sr. Daniel Salinas, y el Secretario Nacional de Deporte, Sr. Sebastian Bauza, anunciaron la apertura progresiva de fronteras a desarrollarse en dos etapas.

De acuerdo a lo informado, a partir del primero de setiembre se abrirán las fronteras a aquellos ciudadanos extranjeros con ciclo de vacunación completo contra el COVID-19 que posean propiedades en Uruguay, quienes deberán presentar una prueba PCR con resultado negativo al momento de ingresar al territorio nacional. La medida incluirá tanto al titular de la propiedad, como a su cónyuge e hijos.

La segunda etapa de la apertura gradual de fronteras tendrá lugar a partir del primero de noviembre, con la autorización para el ingreso a todos los extranjeros inmunizados y con una prueba PCR con resultado negativo.

It is reported that on August 10 of this year, Mr. President Luis Lacalle Pou accompanied by the Minister of Tourism, Mr. German Cardoso, the Minister of Public Health, Mr. Daniel Salinas, and the National Secretary for Sports, Mr. Sebastian Bauza, announced the gradual opening of borders to be developed in two stages.

According to the information, as of September 1, the borders will be opened to foreign citizens who own properties in Uruguay and with complete vaccination cycle against COVID-19. They must present a PCR test with a negative result at the time of entry to the National territory. The measure will include both the owner of the property, as well as his spouse and children.

The second stage of the gradual opening of borders will take place as of November 1, with authorization for entry to all immunized foreigners and with a negative PCR test.
